Welcome to my Sims 3 legacy blog!

Especially if you’re a new reader, it’s really exciting to have you here.  Thanks for coming to check my story out!  Please feel free to leave comments and feedback – I really appreciate hearing from people who read my stories and find it very encouraging!  I also welcome constructive criticism, although if you simply don’t enjoy my story, you don’t have to stick around (but thanks for giving it a go anyway) 🙂

This is the story of the Hunter family as they progress through the generations, following the basic structure of the popular Legacy Challenge.  For those who don’t know, the Legacy Challenge (originally created by sims community member Pinstar) is about following a single family through ten generations, focusing in particular on one member of each, starting with a founder.

Although I will be following the basic structure of Pinstar’s legacy challenge, I won’t be following all of the rules in order to focus more on storytelling than point-collecting.  I will also be following an alphabet naming scheme, meaning that every child born to the family will be named in alphabetical order (eg. Amy, Bob, Charlie, etc.)

The first generation follows the story of Nicole Hunter, a young singer who moved to the fame centre of Bridgeport in hopes of fulfilling her dream to become a Vocal Legend.  When she gets swept off her feet by celebrity superstar Ren Master, will Nicole abandon her dream for love, or will an unexpected turn of events change her life forever?

In the second generation, our story is told through the eyes of Bianca Hunter.  As the second eldest in her family, Bianca had always had an eye for responsibility and practicality, preferring the simple joys of life to the party lifestyle led by her twin sister.  But between unlikely friendships and a string of unforseen events, her plans for a quiet life are about to be turned upside-down…

The third generation heir is Diana Hunter.  Diana was born gifted, with a solid work ethic to match. This, coupled with her passionate societal views of the city she grew up in, have led her to the very threshold of a career in politics. But, in the real world, things rarely go to plan. One major male distraction and a few professional setbacks later, will Diana be able to fight her way to the top, or will the harsh brutality of the political world turn out to be much more than she bargained for?
